The Federal Internal Revenue Service condemned the company THN Auto Parts Manufacturing Brazil based on the Anti-Corruption Law (nº 12.846 / 2013), for attempting to bribe an employee of the agency. The company will have to pay R $ 552 thousand.

The decision was published on October 8 in the Federal Official Gazette, signed by Finance Minister Eduardo Refinetti Guardia. At the Internal Revenue Service, the body responsible for coordinating and enforcing the Law is the Legal Entities’ Responsibility Division (Dires).

It was verified that the company offered an undue advantage to a server of the Revenue, which characterizes an infraction to the art. 5, item I, of the Anti-Corruption Law. The complaint was lodged by the public servant himself, who did not accept the advantage. At the same time that the incident was notified to the Revenue, the Federal Police was also notified for possible criminal investigation.
